Re: Youtube & UVerse frustrations To further complicate it I can have problems with youtube on my iPhone at home connected to uverse through wifi. I then turn off wifi and then use a low bar Verizon 3G signal to stream youtube without problem. |

I can complicate it even further than that... where I live I have DSL (ATT DSL-non uverse) and I buffer on youtube as well.
My neighbor's charter cable line at 15/2 also buffers.
Solution I found for me and him: atube catcher
One thing we haven't tried yet (as it's up to me to build the box) was try a linux load and see what we get. Just to make sure its not an O/S specific thing. if it is O/S specific that would explain a lot of the problem between hit and miss. -- If you have a topic in the direct forum please reply to it or a post of mine, I get a notification when you do this. I have tried with Linux Mint and same problems with buffering HD videos, the only thing I have found that solves this annoyance on my end is to use a extension for Chrome (and FF) called Magic actions for you tube, I use the settings "stop autoplay" and "allow preloading" , I have been using this extension for a while now with no issues. kinda sucks, should have to preload videos with Uverse 23m service. |
