Good hardware monitor for mint 12?

Recently built a box and put mint 12 on it, but I'd like a hardware monitor for at least my cpu(kinda like how windows has cpu-z and core temp) so I can see what temp each core is at and what load, and if possible one that will monitor my entire system(ie mobo and hdd and ram temps). Any one have any suggestions of programs?

gkrellm on oreo
Howdy,

I use gkrellm - see the attached image. On my main rig, I'm monitoring tons of stuff so I have the font set very small.

Cheers,

Thanks man, this is just what I needed! Now I can monitor all 6 cores of the 1045t.

With you using gkrellm do you have an issue with it disappearing when you swap desktops? I was using it a long time ago but had the issue with it breaking when I would switch desktops.

I've not seen this issue, I have the "enable on all desktops" (the actual wording is escaping me) checked off.

Hiya,

I have never had a problem with gkrellm and switching Virtual Desktops. I have eight Virtual Desktops and I'm constantly switching.

When you say it'd break when you switched desktops, how did that manifest itself?

Thx!

Basicly if you used the showdesktop button on older pre 11.* flavors of ubuntu or kubuntu I would literally lose the gkrellm window. And a restart would fix it till the next time. It very well might have been my Video card and the drivers that caused it. But I just stopped using it after getting no where with it.
