Re: What's the point of the Diablo games? If that is the case, then I'm going to form a chinese gold farmers guild amongst DSLR folks. We farm all day and I give everyone a fair cut of the dungeon-run work.
Also, I will probably put together a D3 thread in a few days to get DSLR folks interested in coming together in a single place if they have no where else to go. -- A government big enough to give you everything you want, is strong enough to take everything you have. |

Looks like there's a cash-out system. -- A government big enough to give you everything you want, is strong enough to take everything you have. |

 Anon | Savious?
The people I was planning on playing were under that impression. |

It is going to be like starcraft, you don't pick a server like WoW, you just form a group and select to quest together so you will be on the same place. |

JobbieKeep It SimplePremium join:2010-08-24 Mexico kudos:1 | reply to Archivis No, it is not like wow, it will have single player or up to 4 person co-op. |

 JobbieKeep It SimplePremium join:2010-08-24 Mexico kudos:1 | nope |

ArchivisYour DaddyPremium join:2001-11-26 Earth kudos:18 | reply to Jobbie I've been reading that the co-op will allow you to farm dungeons and each person gets loot off a boss, rather than random rolls. This means that a team could go in together and faceroll a dungeon and each pick up sweet gear to sell. -- A government big enough to give you everything you want, is strong enough to take everything you have. |

 Anon | Sounds awesome.
I haven't played too many games like this minus the gauntlet arcade games lol. Looking forward to it. |

Yes that is how it works, you make your group start public questing and you can go anywhere (depending on your gear) and everyone gets their own loot instead of finding who clicks faster. |

ArchivisYour DaddyPremium join:2001-11-26 Earth kudos:18 | Imagine if you could multibox four players who could faceroll a dungeon for mad loots. |

JobbieKeep It SimplePremium join:2010-08-24 Mexico kudos:1 | I bet the leveling part is going to be lots of fun and then you can swich to Savious' mode with a group and get the good stuff. |

He actually ran 4 bots all day and all night. He sold the loot on e-bay to the tune of $30,000. Was a great little business for him until he got shut down.
I'm not condoning botting, just telling the story. |

I'm not condoning botting, just telling the story. Probably Pindlebots. Pindleskin was a super-unique monster (read: always spawned in every game) in Act 5 of Diablo 2. Once you completed a certain quest, a portal would open to the area he spawned and you could walk 10 feet and kill him, loot, then exit the game, create a new one, rinse, repeat.
The appeal of Pindle was that he was easy to kill and his cLvL was ~85 in Hell, which meant he could drop 99.9% of the items in the game.
However, Blizzard has stated that there will no longer be super-unique garuntees anymore like there was in D2, mainly to avoid this.
Arch, if you are going to create an AH empire, I recommend heading over to www.diii.net. They have an optimal Magic Find strategy guide up right now, stating the best possible areas for loot per minute and how to run certain areas the fastest. Of course, right now it's only for the beta, but the theory's hold true and once the game goes live it will be updated.
Also, keep in mind that the best possible items in the game will generally come from Inferno mode with iLvL 63. This does not mean some Legendarys wont be OP. In D2, some of the best items were from Nightmare Mephisto (Vampire Gaze) or made with runes that could drop from high level NM/low level Hell monsters. |
