Re: What's the point of the Diablo games? Diablo 1 and 2 were fun. The dungeons were random, so it was a little different every time you played. Bashing hordes of monsters and wading through their gore to loot their treasure is just a primal gaming experience. There's no real point to it, it's just fun.
With D3, Blizzard appears to be trying to cater to competitive people who want to make money in the AH or massage pvp builds, but the bulk of the game will just be about exploring and destroying.

It is going to be like starcraft, you don't pick a server like WoW, you just form a group and select to quest together so you will be on the same place. |

I never played MP on D2 and still really liked the game. Being able to mindlessly smash stuff with my buddies has a ton of appeal.
I took the 15th off, which is my 1st vacation day since christmas. Soo stoked, been bored with all games in the last month or 2, hoping this will rekindle the gaming spark. |

On-topic: I was thinking of taking the 15th off, but I do not know when the game will arrive that day for me as I bought it on Amazon (last place I was able to order the CE from). Though, I will probably take the 16th instead. |

I've been reading that the co-op will allow you to farm dungeons and each person gets loot off a boss, rather than random rolls. This means that a team could go in together and faceroll a dungeon and each pick up sweet gear to sell.

Yes that is how it works, you make your group start public questing and you can go anywhere (depending on your gear) and everyone gets their own loot instead of finding who clicks faster. |
