Re: [WIN7] Multiple windows opening - can not change folder pref

The very first post I made states clearly the Folder option does NOT work. There are several ways of getting there, but it all boils down to the same action. The setting is nursery school stuff.

Yes, it has obviously somehow become corrupt, but after a scannow, corrupt files were repaired.

Let me keep this as simple as possible. When I post here, I have completely run out of options and am disgusted. I have searched ad nauseum for solutions to this problem for a minimum of six weeks. If you do a Google search, you will find several "fixes" that work for some, but not for all.

I am anal retentive when it comes to security and believe me, I don't have malware. Nothing in GPO policies or Local Security Policy has changed. No new programs have been installed for months - the multiple windows just started occurring out of the blue and other users with the same problem have stated the same.

From Microsoft, it is a known problem that MS believes has something to do with the SQL Server.

Quite frankly, I am looking for someone who is running Windows 7 64 bit, has had the problem and knows exactly how to fix it.

Sorry for the tone, but as stated above, when I post a problem here, believe me, I have tried every possible researched solution.
