Re: new to fios. i have a few questions I have Dish as well and agree that there's not much to pick from between it and FIOS, at least when it comes to HD quality.
Of course with Dish you don't get any of the NY sports channels (MSG, SNY, Yes) so if you're a sports fan then Dish is a non-starter.
The automatic HD channel mapping (Dish has it as well as CV) is more convenient, but hardly a deal breaker.
The biggest issue for me with FIOS is the lack of certain HD channels I can get with DISH (e.g. BBCA, RFD). Hopefully FIOS will find a way to furnish those before too long (but I'm not holding my breath). |
