You have not done a good job at selling this to anyone here yet. Writing a broadly worded BS law that includes immunity allows for it to be misused with disastrous consequences. Such as, "Yes we knew that there was going to be an attack, but did not say anything. But this law grants us protection for not doing anything!"
The law specifically allows for a legal funnel of private information to the government for any "cybersecurity" threat, which they have conveniently placed intellectual property in the definition of. Wholesale legalization of data funneling of user information to protect copyright. This would eliminate the MPAA and RIAA's need to show any proof whatsoever to obtain a warrant to get the same information. The effort is as transparent as air, and I will take my rights to due process as guaranteed by law, thanks. |
