In long term it means a french revolution by the general population, we can't communicate if we can't freely share the information related to it. I really doubt that the neo-conservatives cares about that though. They are people of principles, aka screw everyone else and our future as long as they get their kickbacks and short term benefits.
Also every corporations, banks,organizations and even 1%ers non related to hollywood will run away from this country if they can't keep their trade secrets and employees data transfers encrypted and secured.
It makes the whole thing anticonstitutional by itself.
