Kamakzie join:2001-08-13 Cedar Springs, MI | [Other] Viatalk issues with Obi110 phone device I have Viatalk setup as a generic VOIP provider on SP1. It works fine for a day or two but then when I try calling out it will say "the number you have dialed has been rejected by the call provider." Then I have to reboot the Obi device and it will work again for a day or two. Is there anyway to fix this issue? |

 | it's your device. It's unstable. I suggest buying a better device. I learned this the hard way with the spa2102 and generally it worked well but had it's quarks. The first revision Linksys PAP ran like crap the pap2t was better but not quite as good as the spa2102. Anyway they had quarks but generally ran okay as state the pap revision 1 suck and wouldn't register correctly all the time. I believe its safe to say Obi110 isn't that great which is causing instability in your service. I now own a commercial device which is an AudioCodes mp112. They are expensive but they are also super solid. Ipphone warehouse has them for 150 which is on sale. |

Many people here have Obi, yet we have no indication of a widespread issue. |

| reply to Kamakzie Dear OP:
In addition to what Dan_voip said:
1) There is a good chance this is a ViaTalk problem, because they sometimes do have issues, AND ViaTalk is not exactly BYOD-friendly!
2) Try setting up a free account with CallCentric, and see how that goes. See if the registration is maintained. »www.callcentric.com/rate_plans01.php »www.callcentric.com/support/devi···i/obi100
3) If you still have trouble, talk to the Obi people. Maybe you do have an individual lemon. |
