Re: Man arrested for allegedly pointing his finger at two detect said by Zyrtec:If I called up the police and told them that my neighbor made a gun finger gesture at me, they would laugh in my face and say Sir, what do you want us to do? That isnt enough to charge him with anything. But when it happens to them, then they cry like babies and want to press felony charges. PLEASE, put me on the jury for this mans trial. If I was on the jury, I would immediately say acquit (or maybe cause a mistrial). -- Illegal aliens have always been a problem in the United States. Ask any Indian. Robert Orben

One huge problem with "justice" in this country these days is that so much stuff never makes it to the front of a jury. Supposedly something like 95% of felony convictions are the result of plea bargains (no jury involved), and in many of these cases (more than anyone wants to admit, even to themselves) the "perp" being sent away is (mostly) innocent of anything too terribly serious that a jury might convict them of. And this may be true even if they've "confessed" to the crime! |

Unless you are fortunate enough to have the huge sums available for bail. In other words, the rich can afford to go to trial. Everyone else is punished immediately without trial. Their only way forward is to plea bargain. |
