Re: For those who are on 16 profile, what's your actual speed?

Thanks Martin. That's good to hear.

Does that mean Teksavvy will now open tickets where reasonable for 19 meg for 16 meg plan and 14 for 12?

Kind of a case by case basis.

Paul

Can you confirm that for someone with good stats the optimize button indeed gives a 19.4 Mbps profile on the 16 Mbps plan?

Thanks, nice to see Bell does not screw us on that one.

Supposed to be changed from 12M to 16M today...here's my test:

Usually get just under the 12M that I pay for - seems someone has slowed me down. Will wait until tomorrow before opening another ticket.

I. Hate. Bell.

Edit: Added ping test

Thanks Martin

Here's my updated speed tests:

Not that great, but better than before. I was hoping to see at least 15...these are pretty terrible speeds when compared to what others are posting in this thread.

Ah well, any idea when Teksavvy will start reselling Cogeco in my area?

Do keep in mind that your official activation date is the 30th. Order is still assigned, so there still may be an improvement.

There's always hope, right?

Will update in a bit.

Edit:

Just checked speed, back around 3Meg. Maybe someone is working on the line?

Noise margin of 6db is not that great... unless you reversed upload stats to download lol.

And, a day later:

Edit: To be fair, the speeds were around 13M earlier today. Don't know why I'm fluctuating.

Why are you doing flash speed tests? Try a java speed test and see what the results look like.

Unfortunately I'm stuck with 16320/799 profile...

Its got me contemplating whether to move down to DSL 12...even if I have to eat the $25 charge...I'd make it back in 6 months...because its not worth it for 1 extra meg of download in my real world tests...

yeah... losing about 15% with overhead... which is why your on a 19mbps profile, so you can get your 16mbps real speed.
