| [HELP] TFTPDNLD -r from ROMMON on 1801 won't succeed I have a 1801 Catalyst which is stuck in ROMMON;
I am unable to tftpdnld a new image to the flash memory, but connectivity to the tftp server is fine.
I want to boot the image from that server but get the following error message:

I don't understand why it says "TFTP flash copy"...
Will I not be able to download the image to DRAM instead (and possibly run it from there?)?

| Oh! I am using an image from a different model router which is acting as tftp server.
I actually thought that images ware interchangeable and not limited to the individual model!
I guess that's what it is then- many thanks!

| It worked with a c180x IOS image (although it still won't recognise the flash)...
Well, at least I learned something new  |

| to recognizing the flash you may need to upgrade your rommon thru the IOS... |
