I don't see quite as many ads as I used to and I've been using ABP for years now. And recently I've just started using Ghostery as well. Personally I'm not a fan of bloat and generally will not take adon's to my Fire Fox willy nilly. I like it streamlined as possble and to do what I want it to do endof.
Anons get ads, but when you register you can disable them.
And yes, I also use ABP and its a great plugin. I've had issues with sites not working right with Ghostery running.
