pdf: What Software to Split pdfs Into Smaller Sections?

What freeware software might I be able to use to split pdf files into smaller segments?

I have pdf textbooks that are hundreds of pages long. They are very difficult to scroll through because the control slider overshoots with the slightest movement. With less pages, the pdf file is easier to manipulate to the desired page.

Not sure if this fulfills your need:

PDFill PDF Tools: Merge, split, encrypt, decrypt, fill out forms directly on PDF files.

I have never used it before, but I have read good things about this little tool.

If you have a PDF printer installed on your system. Print the range example (page 1 - 50) to a new PDF file. Then print pages 51 - 100...

There are a lot of different PDF programs/printers out there now. You might take a look at Bullzip »www.bullzip.com/ It's free.
