 | Predatory pricing? There has to be a lawyer somewhere in MN that wants to take Charter on for this. The price is almost 100 bucks cheaper than what they normally charge. |
|
 | How is this predatory pricing? Charter is competing with a town that is massively subsidizing the service. Why can't Charter do the same? |
|
 | Charging a price that is well below "cost" to drive out competition is predatory pricing no matter how you try to spin it. |

And what is "cost"? Charter could very well be taking $150 in profit and charging $160 if the service only cost $10. -- My Blog 2.2 |

It's quite simple: Charter is dumping their product with the express goal of making the Muni lose money and fail, so that they can go back to ripping people off with no competition.
Charter knows they can always make up any losses by overcharging people everywhere else in their national footprint, knowing the Muni operators cannot spread costs beyond their local area.
