Re: New to Optik Tv. Options for using my own router? Isn't the Linksys E4200 just a router and it doesn't have a built in vdsl modem which the actiontec does.
I haven't tried this so not sure if it would work. But I believe you need to purchase a seperate vdsl2 modem online. Then set it up as follows
Wall --> VDSL2 Modem ---> E4200
|
|---VDSL2 Modem -----> Actiontec --- Digital Box --- TV
You might also be able to do something like this
Wall ---> VDSL2 Modem --->E4200 ---> Digital Box --- TV
There is not special about teh actiontec other than it has a built in VDSL2 modem and also provides a port to hook up to your HPNA coxial network.
But I've never tried this I know there are VDSL2 modems online but whether they will work with telus or not, I'm not sure of. |
