| AT&T increasing DSL fees This month my DSL elite dry loop bill went from $36.90 to $45. I thought that my yearly contract had expired and that, like I did now for years, I could just renew.
But when I called (terrible experience BTW), they now don't use the term "contract" anymore: They referred to my plan as a "promotion" and they said they cannot renew it under the same terms. I immediately requested the cancellation dept. where a nice lady repeated the same story but offered me 6 months at half price (and gave me a $10 credit to cover this month).
I am not going to pay $45/mo for a lousy ~5 Mbps DSL going forward. Is AT&T just pulling a fast one on us, or they want everybody to switch to U-verse or something? |
