Re: Acanac Enforces Technical ITMP Does it follow Crtc Rules?

For most people what matters is the lowest price, not the monthly price.

But Thats comparing your YEarly prepay First year only prices to a monthly price. So of course the prices are in your favour at least compare apples to apples.

It is an open market with dozens of third-party ISPs to choose from. If you do not like how Acanac wants to do business, you are free to take your business elsewhere.

As Paul has stated before on the forum, we only want customers who want to be our customers and I mean that in the kindest way.

Acanac, you're being trolled. If it wasn't obvious from the Random capitalization of words That don't make Any sense, the guy (morisato) is Obviously baiting you and even bothering to respond to his trolling is a poor use of your time and makes you look not too bright.

That said, I'm a happy Acanac customer since 2009 and I am quite happy with how they represent their service and I have NOT been throttled during peak.

Agreed,

Bottom line is you are paying for an advertised speed, you should be able to achieve said speed no matter what time of day or network capacity. If the ISP's are not able to do that, then they should not be allowed to offer that package in the first place. It is not the consumers fault the ISP is overselling past it's network capabilities.

Just my 2 cents.

I think that if the government issues you a license plate for your vehicle, it is up to them to ensure that there is sufficient capacity at all times of day or night no matter where you go such that you never get slowed down by other traffic.

If they can't guarantee that, then they shouldn't be allowed to license more vehicles to be on the road.

Honestly - it's quite amazing what people expect out of a network that has barely existed in its current form for even 10 years, and is constantly growing and changing.

Not the same thing, the government doesn't tell me that I will be able to go 60 miles per hour for what they are charging me for. The fact of the matter here is that we have companies knowingly overselling and overexceeding their network capabilities and charging through the nose for it, all the while hiding behind the "up to" clause which was only meant to cover them for conditions such as distance from the CO and not meant to be used in this fashion. If they can't provide a service, then they should not be allowed to charge for said service. It's only common sense. You wouldn't go into a gas station and pay for a full tank of gas and accept that you only get half a tank because too many people filled up today and you wouldn't go into McDonalds, pay for a big mac and only accept a cheeseburger because they sold to many big macs today.

If you cared to continue reading, I commend Acanac for the way they are pricing and wording their service. At least with Acanac you know what you are paying for up front.

Interesting times up ahead, with TPIA launching in Cogecoland, I foresee a large number of people dumping xDSL and jumping over to Start.

The best part is is the March Promo from Bell has effectively been nipped in the bud.

-- as you notice I am not answering any longer and as stated above It is a free country and we only want customers who want to be our customer so if he feels that there is too many things wrong with our service he is free to go elsewhere as he is not going to be happy with our service anyway.

That said, I'm a happy Acanac customer since 2009 and I am quite happy with how they represent their service and I have NOT been throttled during peak.
-- thank you

The "up to" clause is the disclosure that you may not reach full speed. You're reading more in to it than you should.
