 | [OOL] IO TV seriously messed up. Had an install yesterday. TV upstairs (room-mates) works fine. My TV, at 7:30 pm, dropped sound, and all we got was snow for sound. Still had picture.
Tech came out this morning, hooked up a new box and only got snow completely. No picture and no sound. Said it was the TV.
Went out and bought a new TV. Right out of the box. Hooked it up, snow for sound again, but still has picture.
Tech is supposedly coming out again today. But I'm now out 300 bucks for the new TV. OK, I actually LIKE the new TV. But still... I should have HAD TO get a new one.
This has got me so mad right now... |

You could also return the TV. |

 | reply to Attack Gypsy Return the TV, don't believe the bullshit that incompetent installers say.
The one great thing about having an awesome home theater system is that when techs show up they know that if they bullshit me, I will call them on it. |

 | reply to Attack Gypsy Well, they came back out. Its up and running with a new HD box.
Think I'm going to keep it. Not happy about it, but the TV is really nice, so I'll keep it.
Going to complain loudly.
As to hooking up roommates, that option wasn't available. The roommate was sleeping after an all night shift, so I wouldn't wake him up. He works his tail off, so I don't wake him up unless the house is on fire. |

| Are there poor signals on the box? Sounds weird that it would happen on multiple boxes, though I definitely could believe it if the levels are good. I've heard enough stories about newly installed boxes that looked like they should have been decommissioned years before. |

 | I don't know if this is your problem, but I have a problem with snow when I watch my DVR + shows on Windows Media Center. I don't know if that is a box isssue or somthing else. |
