| Has anyone got Zyxel Device HA (legacy mode) working? We are using the following setup:
2 x zyxel USG 100 with AQU.5 (also the new AQU.6 doesn't work) firmware in device-HA mode (legacy).
We want to use VRRP on a couple of VLAN's for our internal network and on the WAN side.
When we apply this configuration and synchronize, most of the time it doesn't work. It hangs on different modes during synchronization.
AQQ.6 did not solve anything.
However, sometimes it does work. But most of the time, when you try to sync, it hangs on the message "Retrieving schedule-run sync for schedule-run has succeeded."
During this message all the led's go on/blink (like factory reset/start up) and the machine is stuck (high cpu I think) for a couple of minutes.
Sometimes the error "Device HA Sync has failed when syncing Firmware Version for System Compatibility due to bad 'Sync From' or 'Sync Port'." pops up... which makes no sense.
After you change something on the master device i.e. firewall rule, the sync goes always wrong!
We really need to find a solution for this, because we really need 100% stability. This is for a datacenter environement.
We've already created a support ticket with zyxel BENELUX. It is now under investigation by HQ Taiwan, but there is still no progress in this case
Has anyone got a device HA setup working on recent firmwares with VLAN interfaces?
Has anyone got problems contacting zyxel Germany? In the past they were very good at solving tickets, but it is a disaster to reach them. Their telephone lines are constantly disconnected. Problems with the PBX...
Or internal reorganization... all the support pages are recently changed on the zyxel benelux and german websites... |

kudos:3 | Wish I could help. How bout trying HA current mode vice legacy mode  . Pretend your american and call US tech support. They are very good!
