ugotid posted : Edit: After hooking my laptop up to the router I'm getting 22MB down and 2.8 up. The fact that I'm losing so much speed just from the wireless connection is crazy. Could this have to do with the router itself? I'm going to try hooking up another wireless router to it and see how that does as a test. Since they don't offer anything but the POS wireless router, this might be a deal breaker. I also tried the AC Ethernet adapter which gets the same poor speeds.

Is there any other way for setting up for me to have a hardwire on my PC? At the moment all the coax hookups are in the laundry room and phone access are there as well. I was told I can't get a second modem. Anyone else know how I can get this setup to have the modem where I need it?
