Re: [SC2] Starcraft 2 Thread Reloaded

said by Blockfire:

So what are peoples goto races and why? i played a little bit of the orginal, like agood blizz fanboy, but haven't touched it in about (9?) years.

Played zerg in SC. When SC2 came out my goto became protoss after trying to play as random (because I enjoy the variety).

I like the idea of being able to random and play each race equally well, but the actual execution of such an idea falls far short. I have limited playtime and apparently my desire to play a race well outweighs my desire to have fun with all the races.

I stuck with protoss because I seemed best able to read and retain protoss strategies while away from the game. That, and they shoot frickin' lasers, which was too cool to pass up.

Has anyone tried the new phoenix upgrade? I don't seem to find a way to use it, if i get to a point when i need a fleet beacon i rather build carriers and a mothership rather than extra range.

I just found these maps to help you train and improve, you can find them on the custom map section on SC2:

* Darglein’s Micro Trainer: It presents you the most common scenarios when you need to micro for all 3 races like blink stalker force fields, marine stutter stepping etc.
*Build Order Test Zone: It helps to practice your build and expand timers
*Multitasking Trainer: On this map you have to kill the enemy base while keeping a probe alive on another section on the map while being chased by a zergling.
