SB 6120 firmware update...

I noticed quite a few internet providers here Toronto, require a minimum firmware to use this modem. My question is. If I get their service will it automatically update to the required firmware if I get a successful connection or will I need to have the update already for me to connect to their service successfully?

When I installed my SB6120 on Comcast a new firmware was automatically downloaded to it. My guess is that your experience will be the same. Your ISP controls the firmware version for the modem.
