| G5 is very similar to the MX518 but only has 1 thumb button I believe and the MX518 has two thumb buttons. Most of your current games will allow you to map M4 and M5, so that would be the benefit of the MX518. |

You are correct i've had the G5 for 5 years with zero problems it also has weights so you can adjust the balance of the mouse to your hand and strenght.
