Tapped is a bit of a strong word. Someone intercepted the email with the conference access number and PIN, then just dialed in and listened.

I just wanted to say this group will not stop doing this even if the feds get more smarter then this group because you can never out smart a great hacker like this. Unless they catch somebody in this group and turn them into a informant which I doubt they would do against there own group for lessor prison term. |

Some of their members have already been arrested, including their spokesperson and when this happened, Kevin Mitnick stated that it's a matter of time before he gives up the rest of the main members of anonymous. So far it appears that Sabu and some of their other skilled hackers have remained anonymous.
I think part of the reason why their most skilled hackers are able to avoid getting arrested is because they've done such a great job spreading misinformation about their own identities. Sabu has been "exposed" so many different times. One day there's "evidence" that he lives in Brazil. A week later he's a New Yorker and it continues.
It takes guts, intelligence and careful planning to take on the FBI and large corporations and be able to avoid being exposed. |

Respectfully, this is a poorly worded sentence. I hope you meant:
"Some of their members have already been arrested, including their spokesperson and when this happened, Kevin Mitnick stated that it's a matter of time before the spokesperson gives up the rest of the main members of anonymous."
because your original wording implies that Kevin Mitnick would give up the members, and hence he's involved with the anonymous hacker group. But Kevin's a "good guy" now.

Kevin may be a "good guy" but so are some of the members of anonymous. Those who are involved with the anonymous hacking group aren't necessarily bad guys, as your wording implies.  |
