what is this 1.50 network fee for dsl?
Vdsl modem fee now not included? |
|
 | Also, looks like they've dropped the Dry Loop install fee?
That network fee looks very ugly, but I won't freak out until Marc explains it. |

decxPremium join:2002-06-07 Vancouver, BC 1 edit | reply to daboom The $1.5 network fee for GAS accounts is not the least of it. As you've mentioned what was formerly a very attractive price for the 25/7 VDSL service is now $8 more per month with an additional rental for the modem (no option for purchase has been announced). That means an increase of 15% in the expected price for those VDSL accounts. |

 | reply to daboom That $8 modem fee per month is pretty high... |

decxPremium join:2002-06-07 Vancouver, BC | reply to daboom Now if there was an option to purchase the modem and avoid the monthly mandatory rental the change would sting less, but that doesn't seem to be a possibility. And the $8 is high given a Cellpipe 7130 could be had for around $150. I can't believe we're rehashing this same argument which has been ongoing for ever since Bell's $5/month rental of the Nortel 1 Meg modem. |

network fees? 8$ modem rentals? barely any replies in the Quebec cable thread?
I remember when Teksavvy was doing everything they could for their customers. It seems those days are long gone. |

I remember when Teksavvy was doing everything they could for their customers. It seems those days are long gone. Where you've been for two years Teksavvy hasn't been decent company for about that time frame. Distributel offers better deals then Teksavvy now days that's how sad they've become. |

| reply to daboom 2 Month Rolling Average
TekSavvy will manage usage based on a rolling 2 month average. Rolling average is the total usage during a given period. How the Rolling average works.
Every month, we will average the usage for the two previous months. If the average exceeds the Customers cap, we will automatically roll them over to the unlimited plan . Our customers will be notified when this rollover happens.
Now they are also going to make up decisions on our behalf? |

That network fee looks very ugly, but I won't freak out until Marc explains it. Yes, because a couple sweet words from Marc and the network fee will suddenly look like the best thing ever. Customers on other packages will demand it be added to their accounts! |

Well, I'm still very undecided about who to switch to in my quest to blow off Cogeco.
Looks like it's either TSI if I want FTTN, or any one of the others that offers MLPPP because legacy 6 alone won't cut it for me.
Or I could, you know = GULP = just go with B#ell directly on a 25/7 and save some money for the first year, let all this FTTN shake out.

so if your average usage is 305 G, they charge an extra $15 monthly automatically.
