Re: China losing manufacturing to Brazil and Asian rivals..
said by macsierra:But sadly in your case it means the usual distortions
Thank you for the "wonderful" compliment.. "Propaganda" can also be truthful..
said by macsierra:Vietnam, Bangladesh and Indonesia are three of the more progressive countries where wages are higher. It started with the garment workers and is fast spreading to other manufacturing. The executives are wasting their time in those countries. The concept of the Asian Floor Wage was born in Bangladesh... perhaps you should learn something before you spout your nonsense.
But sadly, again, before you post you need to investigate your facts.. Sorry, I don't mean to expose you but current events are exactly opposite of what you write here..
For instance in May of 2011 this from the NYT..
"Airline flights to Vietnam, Bangladesh, Indonesia and other low-wage Asian countries are packed these days with executives looking for alternatives to double-digit wage increases in China."
said by macsierra:Exactly why we need legislation to ban importation of goods from unethical companies. They have no problem moving from place to place when they think they can get away with even more abuse. We cannot waste our time and resources chasing them from country to country. The only realistic solution is an outright importation ban.
Or this from Computerworld from November 2011;
"Foxconn, which manufactures iPhones, iPads, iPods and other devices for Apple, is making a major (c$12 billion) investment in Brazil plant."
"Apple in conjunction with its partner, Foxconn, now intends implementing its lessons in Latin America. Is it possible it also intends using Brazil as a hub for North American device production?"
said by meeeeeeeeee:That's old data and pure falsehood, please provide a 2011 source for that manifestation. You won't tho, as it's not anywhere near fact. China has passed all the countries in wage rates thanks mainly to employers like Foxconn..
Vietnam, Bangladesh and Indonesia are three of the more progressive countries where wages are higher. The concept of the Asian Floor Wage was born in Bangladesh...
"China Raises Minimum Wage Up To 21%"
According to Bloomberg News reported on February 23, 2011, China "..embracing wage increases that threaten to erode retailers margins and demand for bonds".
