Krrose27 join:2008-06-21 Winter Springs, FL | Just got WHDVR. A few questions. Hey guys I kinda jumped in to the WHDVR system without asking any questions..
Just finished the install and all went really smooth.
I swapped out 2 dvrs and 1 converter for 2 WHDVRs and 3 converters to cover the entire house...
I've got the Cisco 8742HDC for DVRs and Samsung H3262 for converters...
So the question is:
How many tv shows can be recorded at once?
At the same time how many recordings can be being watched either directly or from the dvrs? |

| 2 tuners per dvr so you can record 2 per dvr (but if you are using both tuners, you can only watch a recording you have from previous OR one of the shows being recorded. If you have 2 dvr's then you can record 4 programs at a time.
If I remember correctly each box can do 3 additional streams at a time (not including whatever your watching on the box). |

Does BH have any plans to get a HWDVR with more than 2 tuners? (I hate having the dvr noise in the bedrooms) |

 | I doubt it any time soon, the boxes you have are the latest and greatest offerings really.. Its not really a bhn thing, more a box manufacturing thing I would assume, I cant imagine why bhn would care how many tuners it had built in it. |

It's not likely you will even notice them in the room unless you have bat ears. -- ~All truth goes through three phases. First, it is ridiculed. Second, it is violently opposed. It's not likely you will even notice them in the room unless you have bat ears. The sound of a harddrive spinning up is rather distinct. They're not like the old SA's that sounded like a caveman carving stone, but I -- even with a constant high pitched ringing in my ears -- can hear it. This was the case with my old BHN WHDVR setup, and with a competitor who uses another Cisco product. |

 | The cisco's do have a bit of a wine, I hear it in my room as well with the dvr.. Not enough to bother me but I do hear it. |

These things are really very quiet. |
