Re: [TWC] Joining the SBG6580 woes said by poolek:I had the same experience with DHCP issues in bridge mode. The mode seems to be very picky - if the router is attached when booting, it won't get an IP. If the modem is allowed to fully boot and then the router is attached, it'll get the IP. Thanks for the suggestion poolek. I had tried to bridge the SBG6580 for 2 hours without success. After using your tip to plug in the routher LAN cable only after the modem has been fully booted - voila! I recommend this method to anyone who is having problems with connecting to the Internet. |

 | I finally had to bridge mine for the same reason.. Every hour or so one of my devices would not connect to the wireless network. It would see if fine and get a good signal. Just never get any services from the router.
I think there is a 5 device limit put on it since the only time I ever had problems with it was when I had almost everything running. |

 | Can't be a 5-device limit. I have over 20 devices running almost constantly. |

 | There may not be a limit but every time device 6 entered the network something would stop working. I had so much trouble maintaining the network due to TWs router I was considering canceling.
After bridging the gateway and putting in my own router my connection has been great and the network worry free. |
