I was just going by the article mentioning that they unloaded the stuff, asked for the money and then when she said no they loaded it back up. If that happened and I were around, they would not be allowed to load the stuff back up onto the truck and would be invited to call the police to which the police would say it's a civil matter and to sue us.

The article appears to be an anomaly in their procedures and these guys are amateurs at this scam.
Their SOP if almost fullproof in extorting money on the spot. Even the cop I referenced paid up then and there but pushed later to have charges laid but in combination with other victims.
