| Actiontec / Reaver / WPS setup. Has there been any info forthcoming about the Actiontec FIOS routers and susceptibility to Reaver hacking? Even though the router has a large WPS button, I can find no info in the router itself for WPS deactivation. And let's not forget that it's being reported as hackable on routers that have shut WPS off in the settings. -- "My hat, my cane, Jeeves". |

 | My Rev F has a WPS PIN on the bottom label. I know the button doesn't work... but it sounds like you're also saying that there is no support at all in the VZ firmware for WPS, so that the hack won't work? Thanks.... |

So it's possible, if someone were to acquire an Actiontec outside of the Verizon process, ie; EBay, that it would have WPS either enabled or simply not activated but available, and thusly would be susceptible to Reaver? -- "My hat, my cane, Jeeves". |

| So even though Actiontecs acquired from a source other than VZ may have WPS capabilities, and it's been reported that Reaver will work whether WPS is activated or not, you say they won't be susceptible? How so? -- "My hat, my cane, Jeeves". |

Zero join:2009-07-01 Collegeville, PA | If they are VZ branded Actiontecs running VZ branded firmware then they are not vulnerable because WPS is not supported inside VZ firmware.
If they are just generic Actiontecs without any VZ branding then that's up to the Actiontec firmware they are running if WPS is supported or not. |
