Stinger remote with a 1.0.4.4R3WH firmware said by swiftex:My understanding is as follows:
Initial roll-out of 25/7
Stinger remote: 1.0.4.3EF-STINGER 7330 remote: 1.0.4.3EF-ISAM
I am on a Stinger remote and initially had 1.0.4.3EF-STINGER,
Feb 1, 2012, I moved within the same building and received a new modem with 1.0.4.4R3WH,
With 1.0.4.4R3WH, I started having DNS resolving problems,
In or about March 1, Swapped with 1.0.4.3EF-STINGER in situ and the DNS issue failed to rise,
Today March 7; Swapped with 1.0.4.4R3WH in place now and noticed in the logs UPnP log notes from the past,
Normally I disable UPnP and somehow missed that with the newer modem.
So, now I have 1.0.4.4R3WH in place with UPnP now disabled and will see if the DNS issues come back. So, in other words, you're still on a Stinger remote and you've got a 1.0.4.4R3WH firmware.
Correct? Cuz if so, that would make more than one of you.
I started out with 1.0.4.3EF-Stinger, and I'm still on the same firmware. However, I use the modem in pass-through mode, so the modem never initiates a PPPoE session on its own. Some have suggested that the firmware updates only happen when the modem is doing the PPPoE-ing. -- Everything Apple |

Being in the old City of Toronto most or all remotes should be Stingers.
The 1.0.4.4R3WH firmware is labelled on the box as a 7330 compatible version. |

The 1.0.4.4R3WH firmware is labelled on the box as a 7330 compatible version. A friend of mine lives in the old City of Toronto and is on TSI. He got a Cellpipe 1.0.4.4R3WH and has the same rebooting problem. If he didn't live across town from me, I'd give him my spare Stinger Cellpipe to see what happens. -- Everything Apple |

 | No. West part of Toronto. Closer to High Park. |

Re: [DSL] Cellpipe random reboots / loss of sync (Check logs ple Finally got my VDSL up and running. Unfortunately, I'm also running a Cellpipe on the v1.0.4.4R3WH firmware and experiencing the random rebooting issue as well. |

decxPremium join:2002-06-07 Vancouver, BC | I've had sync for a a few days, it was just that for some reason Bell or the other tech didn't clear the installation so the account itself wasn't activated. Even during that time, the modem has already rebooted quite a few times already. |
|
 | reply to Phibian So, over the course of the weekend, my modem has decided that instead of rebooting the usual 1 or 2 times a day, it's going to reboot closer to 10. |
|
decxPremium join:2002-06-07 Vancouver, BC | In the short time I've been using the Cellpipe the reboot don't seem follow any pattern. It's pretty random. |

ep80 join:2008-08-11 Montreal, QC | I got my Cellpipe last week and I will be hooked on March 20th.
Current firmware is 1.0.4.3EF0-ISAM
Looks like i'm lucky, hopefully, it won't be updated as I plan on put it on bridge mode.
btw, how can you confirm it is on bridge mode? Remove authentication information for pppoe ? |

On top of this, my DSL 5 will be cut off, I was hoping to have both running, just in case, but oh well. Hopefully, there might be a fix or workaround soon. |
