[Line Problem] Intermittent connection, sync

Hello, we have a 2wire homeportal and for the past 3 weeks or so (and even before then) we have not been able to keep a connection..every 5 minutes or so the internet light goes out and the DSL light blinks red. I called AT&T tier1 and they ran their usual tests and like all good problems, it worked without a hitch while I was on the phone with them. As soon as I got off it started disconnecting again. It may be important to note that the DSL is on it's own line, we use a different line completely for voice. (Don't ask me why, not my idea)

Attached are screenshots of the modem stats

Don't knock the weather. If it didn't change once in a while, nine out of ten people couldn't start a conversation.

Your attenuation levels are too high for reliable Pro speeds. AT&T has put you on an interleaved profile, but even that isn't enough.

You need to test those stats again at your NID to see if the attenuation is reduced and if you would benefit from a homerun. »AT&T Southeast Forum FAQ »How to check modem stats, synch rates & speeds from test jack at the NID. A reduction to 50.0 dB on the download attenuation would make your line much more stable. Even 55.0 dB would be good.

Also you should watch the attenuation readings to see if they change up or down by more than 0.5 dB. If they do, then it is probably a line problem that needs the attention of AT&T Direct: »AT&T Direct
