Yeah, looks like parislemon.com works for me as well now. However, the other sites though, clientsfromhell.net and stfuparentsblog.com still don't work.

I know the sites work though, because I can access them fine when connected to my work network via VPN.

Another data point here. On TSI Cable, IP block 24.52.215.***, and these sites don’t work either (with the exception of parislemon.com, which started working again recently). Another one that’s I can’t connect to: putthison.com, which works fine through my Rogers 3G.

Oh, and unless I’m mistaken, all the sites that aren’t working seem to be Tumblr-based blogs that are set up with a custom domain. So perhaps certain TSI IPs are on some kind of Tumblr blacklist? My traceroute above didn’t seem to go through Rackspace at all....

Does everyone who has these issues have a 24.52.* ip? I know I do and shudder seems to as well. I talked to Teksavvy today about it, but the technician guy didn't really seem to have any answers other than promising to pass it along...

It's definitely an issue with the network though, I can take the same computer and same everything except for using VPN, and the sites all work. Just when I have the 24.52.* ip range are the sites blocked...

Exact same issues, same IP range here.

Yes, confirming that my IP range with specific website access problems as per above is also 24.52.x.x

I was having this problem as well. Having recently set up a Tumblr blog with a custom domain name, it sucked not being able to access my blog from home using Teksavvy.

Tumblr uses a different Rackspace server to direct requests to custom domain names. It is this server that is causing problems. I think I have found a fix for this by adding in extra A records to point to other Tumblr servers. (see http://blog.quantumpie.com/post/15348527781/prevent-tumblr-custom-domain-name-failing)

I notice that parislemon.com has done something similar (and is the reason it is working now). It would still be nice for Teksavvy to fix this routing issue. I have sent them a bunch of trace routes and other information on the issue.

I just checked all of those other sites listed in this thread, and they are all Tumblr with custom domain names. I think you hit the cause of the problem right on the head.

Hopefully Teksavvy can take note of this and maybe incorporate some additional routing routes for traffic coming from the 24.52.* range.

Also, it looks like Cogeco customers are also having a similar issue that's also been diagnosed as the same problem.

I think the issue is with Rackspace-hosted sites, which includes custom domain names such as tumblr blogs.

Right, so are only customers using that range of IP not able to access it or are they plenty of ranges that aren't

Looks like 108.162.x.x as well as my 24.52.x.x are the culprits as per prior posts on this thread.

Well...

I didn't notice this thread when I made mine about »blog.iphone-dev.org/

However, apparently it's also hosted by tumblr and I'm also on the 108.162 IP pool

Definitely a routing issue now....i spent so much time playing with dns settings.
