I've been burned by Cricket once already so I doubt that it even works. Here in the Phoenix area Cricket broadband is so slow it's completely useless. Also their $150 modem is WAAAAAAYYYY over priced and I'm already stuck with one of their worthless modems that I can't use, I wouldn't buy another one at an even higher price.
