Re: [Praise] Staples did the right thing by me with my Tablet pu

Both of you are wrong.

I've been around many years and I have seen customer service deteriorate to the levels we have now.

Sometimes it is the employee/management who are to blame, but more often than not, it is "Company Policy" that prevents managers and employees from doing the right thing by the customer.

Its sad because things like this go a long way in improving sales at a store or for a company.

If you have a copy of the Staples policy on this please post it! I've seen many times in their stores where it appears the store management has a lot of control over how they handle issues like this. Don't always assume that a store's policy is designed to negatively affect customers. Many times they do but there are certainly exceptions!

Reread what was posted again...
No one said it was company policy, just that most companies seem to have a "company policy" that does not allow this kind of "service", one that makes the customer happy.

Customer service seems to be the last thing a company today is even remotely concerned about. Its all about the money, even if their dumb policies are costing them money.

All companies need to make a profit, but the policies I have seen at many stores seems to be structured in a way to piss off customers...
This type of attitude does not make customers want to come back and shop with them again.
