DominokatHiPremium join:2002-08-06 Boothbay, ME kudos:2 | [F@H] PS3 "unable to connect to server" I just checked my PS3, and there is a message reading "Error: Unable to connect to server. Trying again in 00h:32m:32s (0x80710092)" The timer is counting down.... |

Looking at the server page, there seems to be a lot of "reject, full, down, no response" from quite a few. »fah-web.stanford.edu/serverstat.html
Just noticed I can't get a WU for GPU, or send work.
This seems to be a weekend problem, and I see it happening frequently!
Kind of a waste of time, wouldn't you say? -- It's OK to say "Merry Christmas". -Jesus-

Folding@Home news shows that there was a Stanford wide outage due to lack of chilled water for the server rooms. How there can be a lack of chilled waters at the temperatures we are currently having I don't understand. Apparently the original problem is solved (someone put a bucket of water out into the cold?), but many servers are still down and may not come back online until sometime on Monday. -- Got some spare cpu cycles ? Seems to me they could assign someone to periodically check the server room on weekends. You know, maybe split up and rotate weekend duty, between staff to baby sit servers. I dunno. It's very frustrating when it happens. -- It's OK to say "Merry Christmas". -Jesus-

Oh well, maybe the servers will stay up & running now. |

No increase in workunit or point count since Friday for the entire team! I think the stats servers are still bonked. They have been pretty reliable lately, but just like all the rest are subject to overheating. They are probably the LAST ones on the list to be kicked. Then they will have to work overtime to digest from all the finished work, and new work servers. |

 Points | | Current work |
I seem to be getting work, and sending back completed work. But nothing has shown on the completed work "points" for a few days. |
