Why anyone who has a problem with a gas furnace, Gas dryer or Gas Water Heater comes to a forum for advice instead of calling in expert, trained and competent service technicians is beyond me. My life and the lives of my family come first regardless of the cost. |

Maybe you didn't read my post. The problem is that the "pro's" (2 local heating and air companies) sent out tech's that seemed incompetent and had vastly differing opinions. Being rural there are not too many local HVAC companies left. We already have another company coming out from a larger market and I want to be sure if it's another bozo that reads leaks with his watery eyes I show him out the door quickly.
We are on LP so I guess we can check with our LP supplier to see if they can test. |

| While a CO test is a good idea, a heat exchanger can be defect and still no CO escapes into the building depending on the conditions at the time of the test.
Even if the CO test is negative, the heat exchanger should still be inspected.
