JH28 @bankofamerica.com | Twitter Joe said on Twitter in the last 2-3 weeks that you get a better offer online then by calling in. So log into my Verizon and see what they offer.
Why that is he didn't explain but he told someone to do that. |

Why that is he didn't explain but he told someone to do that. The price is $10/month higher online then calling in with no DVR credit. That's why I called since the MyVerizon 3.0 portal was a lot more expensive to renew. -- "We are the Borg. You WILL be assimilated!" -ST:TNG |

If you do nothing, your price and service will remain the same |

 | said by guppy_fish:If you do nothing, your price and service will remain the same That's not exactly true. The service will remain the same, but the price may change if your price guarantee expires. I had a 2 year price guarantee on my Triple Play that expired in October. A month later I received a letter stating that the price was going up by $10/month starting in December. |

No problems signing a new 2 year agreement but don't really want to pay more for the same service. It's cheaper to switch but again we like FIOS over everyone else. It would suck having ot switch for a few months just to get the 'new customer' stuff again from FIOS. I have to imagine they will give you a better deal somehow without you needing to leave first. -- "We are the Borg. You WILL be assimilated!" -ST:TNG |

For me, there was no $300 Visa card offer online. By calling, I got them to match all of the online prices and discounts plus I got the $300 gift card. |

I got the same letter since my contract ended a year ago and my 2-yr price guarantee runs out in Jan., 2012. For the same triple play bundle, the price will go up by $10 next month if I do nothing.
I plan on calling Retention either tomorrow or Friday, whenever I get the time. I receive daily "new customer" flyers in the US mail with prices way below what I can renew for online. It really ticks me off how they are treating a 4+ year FiOS customer. I'm also getting dish & DirecTV flyers almost every day in addition to BrightHouse flyers. I've even seen way more BrightHouse commercials on my FiOS local channels.
We'll see what Retention can do compared to signing up online.
This is almost as complicated as picking a health care plan during open enrollment. |
