| [modem/router] Can c90-36r516-01 Rev:E get 7.0mbps? I just upgraded my speed but i think Verizon is sending one of those router/modem things that i don't want~ I wanted to ask If i could keep using my ancient modem(Westell c90-36r516-01 Rev:E ) and get the 7mbps advertised?
On a related note can someone show me how to get Transceiver Statistics on my modem without unplugging it from my sexy router(ASUS with DDWRT)?

| If I had to guess, I'd say, yes. Reason being: VZ had a 7Mb/640(?) business class option, back around the early part of the last decade, when those modems were offered. Incidentally, I'm still using my old '516, as well!

So got the upgrade but im only getting 3.5-4.0 Mbps~I Might need a new modem CRY(im going to miss my 516 its been so good to me~)
I know Guys your like i need info NOOB!~So i got some off my neighbor(not the same NOOB)...i know its not the same line but its better then nothing~

You really need the stats from your line. As you can see your friend isnt syncing high enough for 7Mb. From the sad state of most copper your stats could be much better or worse. Using neighbors stats dont help all that much for your line |

You need to connect the modem directly to your computer, disable any software firewall (both temporarily) & run the Westell diagnostic. After it finds the modem, hit ctrl+alt+f7 to bring up the advanced tabs (one of which will have your line stats).
