| [modem/router] Westell 7500 blocking xbox live To make a long story short, I attempted to port forward on the westell 7500 because when playing online there was a significant decrease in internet speed for other users in the house (laptops etc).
So
I somehow managed to block XBOX Live or something. I can not sign in to Live on the XBOX and I can't even sign into the XBOX Live website via my computer.
I reset the Westell 7500 to the factory settings and did the same for the network settings on the XBOX 360 and still can not connect.
I would really appreciate any help anybody could give here because I have no idea what to do next.

| I'm having the same problem. From what I gathered on Twitter, parts of New Jersey (South Jersey it seems) and Virginia cannot sign into Xbox Live nor the Xbox website. If you live around the area, that might be the reason. It seems it's on Verizon's end so I guess we can only wait it out. |

| Do some tracert's guys, see if theres a common hope, there was an outage in the 410 MD area and maybe a server hop is down ? have you guys tried different dns server addresses either ? |
