I have never used Vonage, so I am not in a position to make a comparison, but the default Ooma codec sounds fine to me (next month will be my 2-year anniversary with them). I never knew that you could call in to get the codec changed to G.711; thanks for providing this info.
Obviously, we are all different. In my case, a POTS replacement is sufficient and the finances are important. I received a message yesterday that they are presently offering Premier for $99 for a year, but I won't be taking advantage of this, since I can live without the added features. |
