| [Rant] Banned from the Comcast forum for user name "CmcastYouSuc Banned from the Comcast forum for policy violation for the user name "CmcastYouSuck". So similarly if I apply for the name "ILoveCmcast" I should be banned.
The policy states that they can terminate for "offensive user names". The reality is that "Comcast" doesn't have a trademark called "Cmcast" or Ccast" or "Comcst" or "Cmcst" or anything other than "Comcast".
So all those posting on Comcast.net forums who say "my service is horrible" or the like, their postings can be removed as offensive to Comcast under the policies they have. |

Universal freedom of expression does not extend to private property, what a company's forum essentially is. |

But they dont as long as the post is constructive and not just a senseless rant.
Like this one might be considered to be.
"Comcast You Suck" as a Username might be inviting some sort of scrutiny wouldnt you think?

A. Create offensive names for the sake of creating offensive names and
B. Come here, and complain about it, instead of looking the help that we try to give. |
