Re: [Modem] 2wire Alternative? |

dc25 join:2004-06-09 Plainfield, IL | Thanks for the info OSUGoose. I'm not quite sure how to interpret your findings - whether or not that confirms Gigbit ehternet. As you probably saw on the AT&T website, the tech specs still indicate only 10/100, which is not encouraging. I was hoping to hear from someone that has a real live router "in the box" from AT&T that might be able to provide a first hand report of the specs... |

| The stats i posted were from a real live in the box unit. I dont know if the stats listed are a limitation of the hardware attached to each port, or if as the AT&T page says the max output. I was hoping to get the Pace and may just buy that and see if there is a diff. |

 | reply to The Dord I can say this the 7550 is trash, takes the whole network down when you lose DSL signal, while the 2wire would stay up so internal traffic wouldent be affected, may just buy the Pace 4111n since AT&T is giving me grief over swaping the 7550 for it. |

| Look like AT&T did some housekeeping, as the 2wire 2701 is no longer featured on the main page.

Pace 4111N:

KOC @bellsouth.net | I have to 2nd USOGoose's verdic on the Netgear 7550. Just received mine last night and lost network to every computer 30minutes after install. The computer connected via ethernet had internet running, no other computers could reconnect to the Netgear. Could not reset the modem remotely, had to physically go the to model and reset it. Sucks late at night when everyone is in bed and you need to send a quick email from your laptop or tablet. Considering reinstalling my old 2wire. |
|
 | Good, then I know it's not my line, as AT&T thinks it still is, despite replacing the 7550 3 times. And yet the 755o is still on their site yet they pulle the 4111n. |
