HemiMG join:2011-09-14 Smithfield, VA | [HN7000S] Problems at the NOC We just had a storm roll through, and although it is over and my signal is back up above 50, I'm getting a TxCode 10 and can't connect to the internet. It says that there is a problem connecting to the NOC and the system and transmit lights are off. There's still a slight drizzle, but nothing that's ever affected my connectivity before. A few days ago there was an outage on Hughes' end, so I'm hoping that's the case again and it isn't something on my end. Is anyone else seeing this error? |

HemiMG join:2011-09-14 Smithfield, VA | reply to HemiMG I just got off the phone with India. Of course they can't fix it. They ordered a truck roll. So I might have to wait 3-5 days to be up and running again. I tried swapping out the modem with my backup unit but that had the same problem, so I doubt it is a modem issue. When the sun comes up I'll go out and give the cables a good going over. I can't imagine it would be a loose or wet cable since the unit was just replaced a week or two ago though. |

HemiMG join:2011-09-14 Smithfield, VA | reply to HemiMG Okay, update number 2. I just went outside to check the connections. The feedhorn is nice and dry, as I figured it would be since it's a fresh install. The cables were dry and connected, but I switched the transmit and receive lines at both the modem and the outside unit to test for a cabling problem and still cannot connect to the NOC. I'm baffled. If two modems have the problem, switching cables doesn't work, India didn't seem to think it was a problem on Hughes end, and the transmitter is fresh, what else can it be? I'm still getting signal of 55-60. I don't even know what to check next. But the thought of going weeks without internet for the second time in less than a month is NOT appealing. Hopefully the truck rolls sooner rather than later. |

Maybe one of them is bad. -- HN9000/Spaceway III,74m/1w,Elite package,Windows 7,Ubuntu, |

I don't have two power bricks, one of them is bad. I bought a used modem off of eBay mistakenly thinking it was a bad modem, so that's how I ended up with two. It only cost $28, so I'm not too upset about it. Hopefully it is something that simple. I wish I did have a spare so I could test it before the repairman gets here. |
