[Signals] Downstream power is way too high ;)

Click for full size
Connection started acting up so I checked the signal page. A little high? I don't think they make 6,000,000 dB attenuators.

A reboot of the modem and everything is back in order.

Go to the config page, reset and restart cable modem button. If that doesn't work, call the cable provider and they may need to reprovision the modem.

Wonder how "provisioning" can affect this ???

That's what you get for connecting directly to the transmitter!

A 6,000,000 dB attenuator would be quite a challenge to make.

Just the "free-space path loss" (»en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Free-space_path_loss) from your cable headend would only be about 100 dB at 500 MHz!

The original poster complained about his levels being shown astronomically high, therefore enquiring if they made 6,000,000 dB attenuators.

My reply was in response to that.
