Battleplate of Radiant GloryDesign requested a set to ‘key off the Guardian of Ancient Kings summon,’ and I though the concept of ‘feathered’ plate mail, rendered in silver and gold, would create an aggressive, yet sweeping and powerful silhouette. The previous paladin raid set had a good deal of cloth, but we wanted this set to be entirely platemail. The key to a strong paladin tier is hitting a balance between martial prowess and elegant grace -- tapping into that classic Arthurian knight archetype.

I'd like to see class-based weapons...
as for the tier gear, clearly it must be incredibly difficult to design a good looking helm... aside from helms, this tier looks fairly good. |

I'd settle for blizz introducing lower level quest rewards that are skinned to match various tiers of gear... That way, we can t-mog to these to have a weapon that matches our gear. =) |

Too bad that was concept art and Warrior Priests weren't actually able to dual wield hammers.
But I get your point, and WPs are the most badass "Paladin" class in any game to date. I was able to outheal, out dps, and sometimes even out tank anyone with my old WP back in the day.

I agree with you all that this tier is really not that bad at all. I would color it different but I do see where they are going with this. In trying to dress the "Holy Warrior" they leaned tward the "Holy" side of him. Obviously they were trying to reflect an angelic presence with this gear. IMO they should try and have a similar theme with the priest as well. The pally and priest should be like two sides of the same coin. Themes can come together.... as long as they actually TRY to be creative and not copy one off of the other. Thoughts????? |
