Re: Where to get a generator for my Dad Also, do not run the generator in the house but outside. This may sound corny, but during the north country ice storm back in 1998, few people did run the generators in an enclosed space. Many were overcome with CO and a few died.
Also some did back-fed the power lines and a few utility company workers were injured.
