Long answer: It wouldn't benefit any from the extra rotational speed. It would also get hotter faster within the confines of a ps3... hot enough to cause it to error out more frequently or fail early. SSD's actually see worse performance in an older-model ps3 under most cases (install time, load times). Only game where an SSD benefitted the ps3 was with Gran Turismo 5 and its constant install/load cycles. -- Because, f*ck Sony |

 | reply to Jackarino Well overall, I don't see/feel any speed difference after having replaced my original with a 7200rpm a couple of months ago, but it seems that SSD really does make a serious difference overall.
