shades join:2001-06-26 Williamstown, NJ 1 edit | reply to shades The internet gods must hate me, the usage meter came back but then i lost my entire internet connection and had to talk to customer service for half and hour to get it back. i just checked my usage meter and now it is gone again |

 | reply to shades This is a much more serious problem than just the bandwidth usage meter missing. The entire Users & Settings tab can't be accessed. I get the same red lettered error message as everyone else. This means we can't change our password, set up additional email accounts, or change any security settings.
There is an unusually high number of error reports on this forum, as well as the official comcast forum, so I assume its a system wide problem. |

Re: Usage meter said by EG:You could also try calling in and asking a CSR to *roll and reprovision* your modem. Why should a customer have to know Comcast's internal terminology? When I had trouble with a modem that I owned, I also found that I couldn't get decent service without knowing their department names and how their modem inventory system works. |

Re: [BW Meter] Usage meter Yes, according to what I have been able to come up with, it's a system wide problem with the site as nothing under users and settings is working for any function let alone the usage meter. They say the engineers are aware of it and working on it. We will just have to ride it out and hope it gets restored sooner or later. Hopefully sooner than later. |

|
 | It appears the "Users & Settings" web page is corrupt, but the links that would appear on the page still work.
For example, if you get the error you should still be able to check the bandwidth usage meter from this direct link.
https://customer.comcast.com/Secure/UsageMeterDetail.aspx
If the "Users & Settings" page works for somebody reading this, can they check and post the links for the other important items, such as change password. (Only post if it is a generic link like the one above, don't post if it contains a hash or a specialized link for your account).
I think we have to use this work around until Comcast can hire someone who knows how to fix the problem. |

| Thanks for that work around, Frank. Maybe it will help the web folks fix their problems.
In the meantime, I can stop worrying about hitting my cap ... at least for a couple of days.

| reply to tshirt Mine's working normally now (at least I'm not getting the sasme message I was before). But, the numbers have been reset and I'm down to 0 GBs for July. My June total was 0 as well.
I used the crap out of my connection when the meter was broken. Oh well, it was fun while it lasted. |

dosePremium join:2000-10-09 San Francisco, CA | reply to shades I've had my internet for over a year and I've never seen my email or this usage meter. My Users & Settings just looks blank whenever I log in. Do I need to call up and have my modem re-provisioned? Is Comcast keeping track of my usage if I can't? I don't want to break something that's been working fine... |
